Tow-haul mode out on 2013 Nissan Titan.

We just picked up a used 2013 Nissan Titan 50000 miles on the OD. Found out the Tow-haul mode is out or the light is not working. Should I just drive in Drive or drop down and drive in 3rd?? Pulling a 20ft F-S about 3000 lbs.. Only pull about 50 miles round trip each week.. Need to go long term with this truck, Thanks..

I know nothing about your particular truck but here a start idea for you. If you have manual for truck read towing section. If you don't have manual there is good chance you can find online. While online Google your truck and your problem I am betting there is some good info out there for you.

The Titan is a 5 speed auto so if you drop down down a gear you will be in 4th not 3rd. All the tow/haul button does is hold gears 1 through 3 longer to get you moving.

I have towed a ton of different things with my 08 titan with max tow rating 9500lbs. The only time i used tow button was with the toy hauler and I also towed in 4th gear. That was about 7500lbs.

I only have a Z6 now and just put it in drive and go, I would do the same if i had a Z21. Truck has 152k and has original engine, trans and rear.

I have an '04 and tow a 99 519 Ranger with tandem trailer. I run it in tow/haul mode and 4th gear all the time. Gas mileage is actually better in 4th all the time rather than kicking into OD. Especially if you have any kind of hills.
