Anyone having a problem with cracked Vortex dust caps on their BackTrack boat trailer?
One of my dust caps is leaking grease and I think it is cracked. Heard there was a bad batch of them.

One of my dust caps is leaking grease and I think it is cracked. Heard there was a bad batch of them.
Xpress will send you more. They crack because people dont realize they screw off instead of being pressed in most times.

They should be made of Aluminum
I've had 4 crack and fall off. This last one was a replacement I odered.

There was a bad batch shipped to Xpress. If there is no number on the inside of the cap your dealer will be change the caps at no charge for new ones with the number. My replacements have the number 1 inside.
This information pertains to my 2018 Back Track trailer.

Funny this is posted recently. One of mine just snapped off on my trailer this weekend. I called Xpress and they are sending me a new one.
my new ones have a #2 stamped on them

Yes, had three crack so far, 16ft dbh hull
