It does get old when you post an issue and it gets over dramatized or twisted around. That is the only thing that gets under my skin. Vexus is not immune to issues, just like every other boat brand on the water. Not an if but a when type deal. Me personally I am not going to go onto another brands page and bash the brand just because I don't like it. That's just being a dick. But it is social media and people live for this.

On a side note, I went out on a X19 this weekend and they are a very nice rig(1st time in one). Fished one day out of his and one day out of mine. Maybe just being nice, we were both complimentary of each boats. New #2 on my list.

I drove it today for about an hour. WOW, what power. dealer is gonna order a 14 1/2x24 to replace the 15.5 x 25 prop it came with. 62 mph @ 5100 rpm. not turning enough R's.

Grizzz, I was a die hard Merc guy before I got my G2. I have been very impressed with the overall performance of the G2. Super quite and a ton of torque, lots of upside to these motors.

Welp.....looks like I will lose my tach when I do this upgrade. My stereo is in the spot you put yours. However, I believe the Icon displays a digital tach.

I'm contemplating this upgrade as well, but I'm a bit skeptical of the 3.5" display being big enough for my old eyes to see data while running. I guess it's the Tach that is replaced by the 3.5, correct? I guess you put the ICON in Tach mode and it displays RPM while running, idling, etc... correct, you don't have to have a cluttered up display?

I should probably go to the ICON web-site and have a look rather than ask dumb questions...

Yea on his boat he replaced the speedo. When/if I do mine, I won't have the speedo(that is worthless anyway) or the Tach.

Grizzz - could you please post up a pic when it is on and set to the Tach or RPM's? Curious if displays on the whole screen or just in conjunction with the other data.

your correct, it only displays several different functions at once, and King Fish is right about being hard to read while underway. the main thing I use it for is the ability to turn the auto trim on/off, showsoil tank in %, also can winterize the engine with the 3.5 and I can actually get all the displays to view on my solix 12. I don't know if the solix is dependent on the icon gage but I'm pretty sure they are networked on the NMEA 2000 BACKBONE.
I will try to get some pics tomorrow.I really wanted the next size up screen but they discontinued that one and only have the 7" and the round 3.5 I didn't the room to put the 7" display.

Any of you guys having issues with your Merc 115 stalling on the 1st start of the day?

I forgot to mention. This happened on the very first turn key when I took it out for the first time. The engine started, then it died 3 seconds later. Turned the key again and it was fine after that.

Well, now it's happened 3 out of the 4 times I've taken it out. It seems when the boat sits for a week, it does this.

I don't see a primer bulb to pump.
