    2001 VMAX 225 issue

Well the ole OX66 has started to have a slight issue...... When I go full throttle from idle, it will hesitate ever so slightly (about a half second) and then runs like a scalded dog. I tried to gauge it and roll into the throttle slowly and the problem seems to not happen. Has to be something minor because the motor idles smoothly and minimum smoke. Has anyone had and solved this issue?? Not wanting to start throwing parts at it to try and narrow it down. O2, plugs and filters have about 30 hours (probably less) on them.

    Thanks

Sounds like a Throttle position sensor if it has one. If it does do a sweep test on it and look for erratic readings on a DVOM.

Check fuel pressure, low pressure fuel pumps and disconnect shift switch along with sweep test on TPS. Also be sure all the filters in the VST tank are serviced. That shift switch can give you fits. CJ

You can just unhook the shift switch. I would get the fuel injectors serviced first, this is usually the root of most of the problems on these engines.
