A friend of mine has a Rick Clunn Nitro with a 75 Tracker (Mercury) on the back. He hasnt started the boat in about 20 years.
Any tips on how to safely start this motor? What needs to be replaced, lubed, etc?

I would say drain all the gas , pull spark plugs and turn engine by hand with oil in each hole . Then try to start . After carbs ,will need a rebuild and new gas lines , lower unit oil ,ect ...to get him started .
w/p gear oil, complete fuel system cleaning and inspection with filters and diaphragm, plugs, hoses, oil check valve, would clean oil tank and give it a try
