2006 Pro Team 175 Battery compartment

Can someone post a pic of your battery compartment in a 2006. I am going from a 12v TM to a 24v TM and I will need to go from 2 batteries to 3...but the compartment is REALLY tight. Need some ideas.

You might want to check out the "How to do Mods" up top ^ sticky section, many of us have posted pictures and what we have done. I don't have a 175 but my 185 was almost impossible to do but I got it done.

I ordered my 2018 PT 175 with a 24v motor. All 3 batteries fit in the back but caused the bilge and livewell through hull fittings to be at or under the water level when stopped. The bilge would slowly take on water throughout the day. I moved the batteries to the aft end of the forward compartments to help improve the situation. It worked well but I did sacrifice a bit of space in the forward compartments.

This isn’t the original setup. But with a better fuel tank, 11 gal. I never liked the 21 gal. So my solution, for more room and the ability to use fuel before it got stale. This is what I came up with.

Not the best pic. But if you turn the cranking battery. Push it father back towards the transom. You have enough room for two 24 group batteries, to the livewell. I think you can get 27s in. But I didn’t try it.
