37+ wins CBC on Santee 3/2/19

Congratulations to Steve Thornhill on a monster sack yesterday. I believe that is the biggest 5 fish stringer i have ever heard of on Santee.

Many years ago,in a team trail tournament,I think Ken Ellis & partner had 43 lbs.It could have been a little less but was well ove 40 lbs.

I wonder if that was a 5 bass limit back then.

Steve did a great job, from what I was told, he had two eight pounders. And went in early around 11 a.m. to weigh in to make sure the fish did not die. Lex Costas and his partner did a great job also.

That is a monster bag! And he had his 37lbs by 11:00am? I've had 2 bags at 30lbs on Santee and I thought that was big. Can't imagine a 37lb bag!

Great job, but I bet a ton of grumbling from rest of field.

Actually everyone was happy for him...he's well know. We've weighed in 34 at Santee and I think 36 last year....it can always happen down there. I've had multiple CATT tourneys down at Santee that was won with 30 to 36 lbs

Yes, we had 25.83 in our Sunday Showdown Series the next day - 10.66, a 9.7, and a 5#. Different winner than CBC.

The Sunday Series runs 4 hrs starting at 1 (now 2pm with time change) and has a 3 fish limit - every Sunday out of Blacks.

The middle fish is a 5#... LOL
