Heading to Douglas I early may wondering what fish might be doing

Tough to say right now a lot depends on weather ( temperature and lake level )!!!

Well the lake is 5 ft. From full summer pool, about 20-25 above normal for this time of year. A lot of rain this weekend that will be going in, muddy and everything that goes with it.

Hey guys my tournament partner is the OP. And is there any local open tournaments going on the weekend of May 11th and 12th? That would let a couple Indiana boys come donate. We would like to fish a tournament while we are down there. Either Douglas or Cherokee

Don't you worry! There will be plenty of options for you to donate your $. I would think there will be some local txs out of Dandridge on Friday and Saturday morning. I am not sure what time of the year the night txs out of the dam begin. The closer it gets to May I will be able to let you know. I don't live in East TN any longer but I have several friends and family that fish both Douglas and Cherokee a lot.

That should be about the time the black vultures will be congregated at the Dandridge ramp, if they are, don’t park under the trees. You may ask, why do black vultures congregate at the ramp? Well, it probably has nothing to do with the bass released there after the weigh in, so I’m not sure?

Yea, White Pine Marine has one on the 11th. There will be about 200 boats in it......guarantees $4K to win. Fish will probably be post-spawn for the most part but not schooled up in deep water yet.

Fishing was tough today. Most of the fish that were caught were caught on Carolina rigs. That's what I would expect when they are off deep structure in the summer. I was surprised.
