"keep your blood thin, you will live longer"
I dont have to fish a tournament to own the rig I’m in, I fish a lot and don’t care if it’s a tournament so it wouldn’t effect me.
It would cause me to quit. I love to compete and tournaments fit the bill for me. Without them I almost certainly would hang it up.
a national bill doing this - not happening
state bill - depends on ur wacko state
not here in Jawja

Zero effect on me, would probably hurt bigger rig sales
Then there would be outlaws. Suddenly there are 40 bass boats at one launch site that leave and return at the same time. "No Officer, it's just a coincidence, and we all stopped at that island at the same time as a coincidence too".
It would affect bass boat sales. In the grand scheme of the boating world that would be minimal.
In our area it would affect about 50 guys. But it would make hundreds happy that we are not clogging the ramps on the weekends. Lakefront home owners would also be happy anglers are not punching holes in there floating rafts or catching there docks or boats.
Can anyone actually post what Benefit tournaments bring to our lakes. I know business people benefit from sales.
Sadly other if it were to pass what other sports would be next.
Just our new Liberal Govt at work.
I could care less. never fished a tournament in my life, but I fish a lot! I don't mean anything negative towards those that fish tournaments. It just would not effect me. Stupid bill! You would think more important issues would be addressed.
Me and a buddy were fishing a small 52 acre lake one Thursday evening. As we are fishing boats start showing up and launching at the ramp. Soon there was about 15 boats all staged around the ramp. At 6:00pm all the boats left the ramp. It was a site to see on this small body of water. In five minutes the lake was basically "full". Ask me if I care if they do away with tournaments.
I don’t expect to see it. However, we live in an oligarchy, not a democracy.
If the sport fishing industry has enough $$$ it will stay legal, otherwise it’s at risk.
As for any effect on me personally, it would actually be a good thing.
Our waters are very heavily hit by the massive tournament scene, simple fact.
I’m only fishing for enjoyment, relaxation, occasional speck dinner, etc.
I love to fish so no it wouldn’t effect me.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
