    Kissimmee Lake

Another year has come. Dad and I are on our way down to Kissimmee for a week of bass fishing. It looks like the weather is going to be much better than it was last year

I just returned from fishing down there yesterday. It's seems like as the week went on the bite was getting better.... Good luck!!

Most of the big fish we caught last week had spawned and we're hungry! You should have a good week. Wish I was still there.

We’ve had a couple big ones spit the hook. But we’ve only caught small ones so far. Heading up to Toho in the morning to see if we can find a better bite. Hopefully it’s worth the ride. We’ll have fun regardless

Wind was pretty strong today and blew me off the spots I was familiar with. We haven’t done good yet but hopefully we’ll start to find something. Even with the cold front coming. However, I did catch my dad in the face with 2 trebles from a whopper plopper. Some braid and a yank and they came right out

Just left Kiss. Problem with that place is it has turned into a resort for KY and yankee's. Cant even get a room unless you book it a year out because all yall out of towners. My buddy came down last minute to fish a TX and had to turn around and go home because there were not any rooms available due to tags that read Id , Oh KY ect. When I was younger ( late 80's and 90"s) he would call me up and say lets go to Kiss for a few days just on a whim. Yall out of towners have taken that "privilege" away.

Stayed at the hotel couple weeks ago to fish a tournament, got lucky and got the last rm.
All of our neighbors were from Ky. they had 10 rooms and 9 boats. All were shiner fishing
for a week and keeping their fish. They did not like what we had to say about it
Sucks having our resources abused from out of towners and spraying

When I was a kid (80s) I would make the drive to Camp Mack every Friday night and spend the weekend at Kissimmee. As much as the lake is on fire I can’t get myself to go now because of the amount of tournaments and boats. I really want to fish where I grew up learning, but from what I am reading on here and other places there are 400 boats any day of the week right now.
