You know your fishing enough when you.....

Wear your PP spikes down 4" in 5 years. Tidal fishing, anchoring in oyster shell beds/rock, and occasionally 30%+ flex in the spikes to stay put, takes it toll. New Everflex spikes on with my HD mechanically attached 1" diameter 316 stainless steel tips should add some longevity. We shall see...

This should slow down the spike wear. 1" diameter 316 stainless tips.

If you kept the remote in the truck I guess you could ventilate some prop hugger hoods?

those are great.. have a set myself from here ...https://www.ebay.com/itm/Shallow-Wat...frcectupt=true
very inexpensive and can be ordered for the 7/8" spike of the blade vs the 3/4" of the sportsman and Pro series models . simple epoxy on application.. . Hydrilla gear also produces them and offers a complete package with heat shrink and epoxy.

They are 11/16" diameter. Very thin wall and they are glued on. Those work for bling but wouldn't last one trip pinging off oyster shell banks with the tide ripping and bending the spikes 30 degrees. Mine are mechanically attached and 1" diameter. We shall see how long they last.
