    Broken Oil Line

    Sometimes having a two stroke is a curse. Opened my battery compartment after the last trip a couple weeks ago. Realized one of the oil lines going to the reserve tank was broken at the nipple of the oil sender. Oil had pumped out all in the bottom of my compartment. About 3 inches deep!! Fortunately , i had enough oil in it to prevent a seized engine that trip. What a mess!! Also, I had a hard time finding a place to buy another oil sender assembly. 150 bucks retail! My oil tank is several years old as i transferred it out of my 08 XRD to my new one. Finally found one for 75.00. They sure are proud of a cheap piece of plastic. Hope to put it back together and finish cleaning today. Going to be dealing with that oil for months im guessing.

    To clean it out I would buy a bottle of dawn soap 50/50 water spray it down at home then go to car wash and hose it all out.

    Dawn soap will make it look new. May take a few applications

    xpress x19, 200ho G2, aluminum sawtooth cut prop, paper sack tackle storage, ugly stik pro team, color c-lector

    Some car washes have pre soak, works great, kinda like simply green

    Thats a good idea! i wiped out as much as i could. Got the new sender fixed, installed a battery tray for the 4th battery. I think it sliding around was the culprit. Now ill get some dawn and get to work on cleaning it up completely.
