    Sold my Ally today

    Guys,
its been a pleasure to hang around these boards for the last 2-1/2 years. I have sold my Bassport Pro Elite and will be moving on. I have learned a lot from you guys and will continue to monitor these boards for reliable knowledge.
The Allison just wasn’t the boat for me. Even after test rides In the new boat, I still fell as though this Allison IS the best ride. But there are several other characteristics that made me decide to jump ship. It wasn’t for sale. I was asked to sale and I gave a price and it was accepted. I have decided to go with a Basscat. Just wanted something bigger. Probably be back though. Never can tell !!

What model did you go with? They were the only other brand I had considered.

I also considered an Eyra. The Lynx wasn’t around then, but is a great boat with a wide beam.

I like the Jaguar. Its a big long boat and you can stab a 400 R on the back and run low 80's in it. I would own one of those dudes. Basscat is the only other big box brand I would jump ship for.

Only thing I don't like about the Jaguar is the mutant passenger console. Why not make it a dual console that looks symmetrical.

Yes the Lynx is larger than a XB21 in width only. Still 20'8" but I do admit the XB21 does fish like a 20 footer.

The Eyra would get my vote

Suppose to be a redesigned Jag for 2020. Agree on the non symmetrical pass console being weird.

I couldn't mentally handle that much loss in speed with the lynx, but i like the design.

Actually 84-85mph 2 men loaded....funny cause mine is for sale and Allison is more than likely my next machine. Love the jag, but the room behind the console is really tight for a 6’6” man. Have always loved an Allison. If anyone knows a dealer that would trade my jag 400 combo for Ally with 250 or 300 racing please let me know as well. Sorry if hijacked thread

Sadly I think they are about to ruin the performance of it with the redesign. I am thinking they are making it like the caracal and Lynx a wide body boat. The lynx looks to be considerably slower than the cougar and Puma. The Lynx is running 74ish and the other two 20 footers are in the high 70's. I think it also signals that the end is near for the Cougar and Puma or they are at the very least up for a redesign.

I thought that was Tim’s personal boat he ordered. A beautiful machine! When I go to his website I only see electronics for sale, so had no idea he is an Allison dealer as well.

grey with black and lime was used at lake X (don't know if it has a home or not yet or if he is using it for himself)
Grey with orange just got done and will be on display this month at the classic. I imagine it will find a home quickly once it goes there (if it's not already spoken for)
Both are very good looking packages.

trading in a boat is a hassle free way to get out of a boat and into a new but in all actuality sometimes financially selling your old boat personally before buying new is the better way to go.

Yes for sure. They are going to make it a wide body boat like the Lynx and Caracal. Its gonna be heavier and punching a much bigger hole in the wind.
