So far this year its Rodman and Little Santa Fe but would throw in the Ocklawaha. Best size has come from Little Santa Fe, thus far.

I love Griffin and both Harris lakes.

Those of you fishing Griffin, do you run up the Ocklawaha River any? Seems I remember the River to be a pretty consistent 7ft down the center

I’ve been on Griffin a few times since moving and found the north end to be shallower than I remember. At least on the side near the mouth of Haines Creek. Like only 2-3ft deep 50yds out from the creek. Aside from the bottom, are there any rocks or submerged timber for navigational hazards on the side of the lake?

Yes, the river is ok to run as long as you stay somewhat close to the middle. North end of Griffin is shallow but ive never had an issue running it.

Not trying to be smart, but start in your Backyard and go from there.

There are several good ramps to put in the River from the Deland Area. Rt 44, Highbanks, Rt 40, Tedders, Highland Park, etc. Litterly put the boat in the water and go fish. Bass can be found North and/or South of all those Ramp Locations.

For Lake George you can use the Rt 40 Ramp and run 30 minutes North and your in George.

Starting is the first step, figuring them out is a Lifetime of Trial and Error Casts. Good Luck.

For me the Kissimmee Chain never seems to give me a bad day. But the SJR has given me a lot of Good Days as well and my 1st Fish 7 or Bigger.

Toho and Tibet; two completely different approaches, but you can flip on both.

All of my “favorite” lakes are really small with 1 boat ramp. I do fish the bigger lakes in tourneys but when I’m hawg hunting I look for small lakes that don’t get the pressure of the big lakes.

Kissimmee Chain/Griffin but my biggest (11.9, 12.4, 11.6) have come out of small lakes within 20 min of my house in Wesley Chapel.
