mine have to be the Big "O" and the Kissimmee chain. I always seem to find the fish on these two lakes. Also, my biggest fish has come out of Cypress.

talquin and talquin...........I love deep water and hate weeds/grass and I really believe you can catch 20lbs any day, year round with 30lbs+ plus in the summer months when they move offshore...........I think I have seen 30+lbs weighed in in team tounreys 5 times in 2 years and seen 25lbs broken at least 12-15 times

My favorite two "lakes" would have to be Lake George and Crescent Lake. As far as "trophy" hunting goes, your best bet would be Lake George in Feb/Mar. You can catch multiple 7-9 lb fish and a 12+ lber is not an unrealistic goal if you wanna float some shiners.

Kissimmee Chain (Toho primarily...i like to flip and fish offshore) and Bear Gully Lake (small, private...swwwweet.)

As for hawg hunting...nothing beats a golf course pond (or any pond in Central FL that's older than 8-10 yrs old) in Feb-April. I have caught my personal best, 10-4 and a 9-10 in two casts in my old neighborhood pond. The best part is the $0 in gas I spend to make it happen.

Since I am under 4 miles from P City Docks and under 19 miles from Rodman...those are it...
the SJR will drive you crazy and burn lots of gas where Rodman you burn 4 gallons and hope not to hit a log...talk about different...
best from SJR 8.69 and from Rodman 9.23...
am long retired so limit myself to those and maybe Astor/Crescent Lake/Kerr these days...

Talquin and Seminole if we're just talking lakes. Apalachicola river is probably my favorite place overall to fish. Best shot at a wall mount anywhere in Florida is Rodman Reservoir in my opinion and I've fished this state from escambia river all the way to the Big O. Both my last PB came from there and I witnessed my partner catch a teener. Look at the Florida trophy catch numbers for Rodman, they're unreal

Lake Kissimmee for big fish and St. John's River from Deland south for numbers. Lake Toho and Lake Dora get honorable mention.
