An interview with Darris Allison

We did this interview last May, and it was one of our favorites. After getting to spend time with Darris on setting up our Allison, I appreciated the interview even more. His knowledge and passion about design, and boat performance is incredible. Truly an inspirational guy, who has made countless contributions to the boating world.

I have owned 2 Allisons Bass Boats and for performance and ride.....nothing else compares.

Since mine were an XB2002 and an XB2003 they were not as stable while fishing as my 2 Bullets XD20 and XD21.

My Allisons were both center console with the tandem (bobsled) seating so were uncomfortable to get up and down as I got older.

Still the exhilaration of driving them was awesome although the Bullets were a lot of fun too.

Wish I had owned a Stroker, but never did so can't offer any first hand comparisons but do know they are fast and
I feel sure are very stable.
