Which Prop Ranger z21 and New 250 Four Stroke

Has anyone re powered a z21 (mine is 2007) with a new Merc 250 four stroke? When and if my new motor comes in, I will need a prop. Seems like it will be the Fury, but I am wondering if I need to go with a 23p or 24p. I know Ranger is shipping new boats out with the 23p.

A friend of mine just re-powered his 520VX with a new 225 four stroke and the dealer put a 23 Fury on it. From what he tells me it works great. If I were guessing you should be able to use a 24 Fury on your Z21.

I don’t think you will be able to turn a 24p fury to max rpms. I have a 521 and ran a 24p tempest plus with a 250v8. A 24p fury is like a 25p. If you go with fury you’ll prob need the 23p.

Don the Z21 is allot different hull than the 520/521 hulls. I have a V8 repower on my Z21 Intracoastal and the 23P three blade Fury is what I'm running right now. I also have a 24 that I ran too. Neither one of these is the "best" prop in it's stock configuration. Once it warms up I'll be doing more testing and getting some data together for a trip to the prop butcher. If nothing else the 23 and 24 will both go to get trued up to the labeled pitch so I have a level playing field. Neither one of these props have the bow lift I had on my Opti with a 25P Tempest+.
