    Ticks...

Been outside all day working and shoring things up before the Norris flood. Had the dog out with me and naturally he's swimming and running through the woods. Came in to eat and have been picking ticks off the dog, 10 so far. They're very tiny, size of a pin head and smaller. Luckily the wife treats him with a tick repellent... But what about me???... Has the winter been that mild that they're out this thick this early???... Can't wait for summer... Dan

Seed ticks. Baby ticks. During turkey season here they will infest your azz. Permanone applied to your clothing, Repel on your socks and wear tick gators on your pant legs. Those pin head size bastages can bring you a world of hurt. Warm water chlorine bath if you get infested.

My dog got lyme disease this winter. went from healthy to looking to walking like a feeble old limping dog that wouldn't eat or hardly get up. He is getting better now and eating good but still much skinnier . I didn't know dogs could get lyme disease. Found one tick on his head in mid January .

My wife buys a product called Bio Spot for the dog. Last Thursday I did get 10 off of him, but after that it seemed like we'd find 3 or 4 small ticks around his head and ears each evening. We haven't found any embedded in the skin... Yet... Dan
