When I ordered my 520c I put down $10,000.00. It comes off the top so not a big deal to me.
Typically a 10% earnest money deposit is required.
Did just that and they wanted 10%.
When I ordered mine $500.00 down was good for him.
10% seems like a lot of coin, especially if the build gets delayed and delayed (which can happen).
I guess it goes by dealer, mine was 2K
When I shopped they were all almost typically 10% which is typically the amount of down payment needed for banks to loan as well.
$500 for me on a new build.
2017 Phoenix 819
2016 200ProXS, s/n 2B359849, Mod 1200P73BD
$500 for me on a new BassCat Sabre in 2017.
BassCat '17 Sabre DC FTD Advantage Elite

MK Fortrex 80
I've never had to put a monetary deposit down, guess my trade in was good enough. I did keep the boat I was trading in however, until the new boat was delivered.

Of course I talk to myself...sometimes I need expert advice.
I just had a 2019 Skeeter ZX250 built. My dealer did not ask for a deposit.
I guess its all in what they figure might hurt you if you were to back out. If its a boat they can sell quick is another factor. If youre financing it they cant really expect you to come up with $10k for a deposit. $500 seems pretty standard- thats what i just did 2 weeks ago
xpress x19, 200ho G2, aluminum sawtooth cut prop, paper sack tackle storage, ugly stik pro team, color c-lector
$2,000 to secure the build for my Phoenix.
I would say as long as you're not going with a wild color scheme $500 should do... Dan
None for mine

I wouldnt think 10,000 but I would understand 500-2000
$500 worked for me, but is was a few years ago.
Think it really depends on the dealer. I’ve been told $500, $5,000 was fine, $10,000 and some stated 10% or upto $15,000
For my local dealer, it's $1000 for a Vexus 1880.,=
