Tennessee River is rolling... Ky releasing 327,000 and Pickwick turning out 403,000 cfs! Both on Sunday, avg inflow for Ky Sunday was 569,000cfs...

That 403 is predicted for Pickwick dam...I'm not sure they get that high...Wilson can overload Pickwick with water at times. Pickwick can't keep up..

Big water on the Tennessee River. Some old fart was on TV just now complaining his fiberglass pool got lifted out of the ground by the Tennessee River flooding up to it and woe is he his insurance doesn’t cover his dumbass.

Few weeks back in Jan, we had a club tournament, and I've never seen this in all my life fishing here but there were 25 gates open, skipped every other one, and there was a guy in a tin boat fishing in the hole...between the rocks and the gates... I've never seen that kind of stupidity before....no way in hell I would've been in there in any kind of boat...I fish this current all the time, from Guntersville to Wilson but I'm gonna fish it where if something happens hopefully I've got a free and clear path to float down stream for a while...

That guy must really feel good about how well he knows that water and he seems to have himself in the middle of a heck of an eddy!!!

No that guy's a fool...he's not in an eddy....doin all he can do to keep from being pushed into the rocks...think I read that all the upsteam dams were shut off right now because there's no where for the water to go here... we're getting hammered...thats why the waters is going up well above summer pool upstream... hopefully Sunday there rain stops...but those downstream along the Mississippi better get ready...cause it's coming....and it's a lot of freaking water...

Y’all are overdramatizing this. Yes we have had a lot of rain. Yes the river is flowing hard. However, I have seen it a lot worse. To my knowledge no roads are flooded except those that are inside what is a normal flood zone and I am unaware of any folks being displaced unless they built in a super risky spot. Don’t even know if that is happening.

The Mississippi will laugh at those flow rates.

There's roads closed all over north Alabama right now that are flooded..I have seen worse than this myself as well... I doubt very seriously that the Mississippi will laugh at any flood coming their way...

Seen on the weather channel that lake Cumberland reached 740 ft above sea level...said that's the highest it's been since 1998... apparently the record is 741 ft set in 1984...may be in jeopardy..
