Yeah they arent gonna even walk out on the court with worn out shoes. There is no telling how many pairs they get a year.

Im not for ambulance chasers so im kinda 50/50 on this. On one hand he is a big ole boy so I can see the shoe failing. Still though they are advertised as shoes for basketball and thats what he was doing. I dont buy a shoe and expect it to fall apart in my driveway. Yes hes a big boy but i'm sure hes not wearing a size 11 shoe. Probably more in the realm of 15 so the shoe should be designed for someone of that size. So I could easily see there being a legit case being he was injured. Will be even worse if they could prove his draft stock drops from it.

Zion should shut it down and protect his future.

I saw it at a high school state football championship game. Quarterback. No injury.

If you had actually watched the game or sportscenter immediately afterwards you wouldn't have made this statement. They showed the shoe up close numerous times, even while it was just laying on the floor on the sidelines. Talked about it extensively while showing the Nike logo. Hope he's ok, love watching him play.

At minimum they wear them a couple games and move on. I know for a FACT that collegiate track/cross country runners get a new pair of shoes every single meet and time they have a competition. I would say it would be the same for such a high profile sport as Basketball and at such a high level program as Duke. Whether they choose to wear the new shoes is a different story.

Wasn't the knee damaged on the other leg? He slipped and hyper extended his knee. The foot that had the blowout was from his ankle rolling in so its possible that the shoe blowing out and letting his foot through kept his ankle from being injured. I know it's obviously not designed to do that or anything but it certainly wasn't a normal basketball play that caused the injury.
