That unit does not have Down Imaging. It has composite DI created by blending the two SI pulses. It has no circuit for a DI transducer.
It will display true Down Imaging from a DI unit.

Or upgrade the SI unit to a G2 or G3 and then you will have the dedicated DI ... and the mega SI

I have a helix 12 si gen 2 mega on the console and the gen1 helix 12 si on the bow which I use for my 360. I was interested in adding a di transducer on the trolling motor to read true down imaging

You can swap the units, purchase a MEGA DI trolling motor puck (XTM 9 MDI T), change the Connected Transducer setting to MEGA DI and you will have it without getting another unit, of course you would loose SI, but gain Dual Spectrum 2D.
The G2N will support the 360.
