    Travel Cover

How well does the travel cover work that comes from the factory ? The poles and straps look like it would flop a bit going down the interstate.

Nope, works great, no flopping at all.

That cover is awesome and really fits the boat well. Of all the boats and covers I have had I am very impressed with this cover

Are the older covers as good as the newer ones? Say, 2012 model year?

Cover is great. The vents create a vacuum that sucks the cover down when towing

Besides venting air, do they really serve that purpose for towing??? I thought it was just the wind pushing it down....

Really I'm not sure. Lol. besides being a vent for boats stored outside. They do create the vacuum though. If you see other boats without them they will be blown up with air in them.

Best cover I have ever had on any of my boats that I have owned. Frist time using it tighten as tight as you can, go down road for a bit, pull over and retighten, it will stretch little first time being used.

I'm I the only one that won't tow with the cover on? I have this fear of it damaging the clear coat and prematurely destroying the cover.

If you go fishing this time of year around here you would put a cover on. The road salt and brine crap will end up on everything. Now after the weather gets nice that cover stays at home.

also just as a reminder don't forget to use a pool noodle or some type of cushion the top of your windshields or graphs while towing to prevent wear to the cover

I just take mine off to avoid any issues. It's just three thumb screws (not sure what they are but easier than screws.)

No worries. I've towed 100s of miles and no issues. I put pool noodle over the tie downs and my graph at the console and with the ultrex I take the prop off and put a tennis ball over the shaft.

Just picked up my new 721 yesterday. After looking through the whole boat the cover was the last like i was thinking of lol. Do you fellas always use the poles for the cover support if you are running a single console? If so, could you possibly describe how to set the poles and straps? I never asked the dealer and I have yet to find any info on this topic. Thanks guys for any help.

Yes, always use the poles. This is not my boat but used it for pole setup until I got used to it:

If I were to travel a long distance then I'd be using the whole pole setup.....when I do use it short distances I use the long pole that goes on the passenger side.
