I had a metal shop cut and bend a piece of aluminum to mount an HB SI transducer on the bottom of my hole shot plate. I think it was less than $25.

Check out Transducer Shield and Saver which is a sponsor https://www.transducershieldandsaver.com. I used their jack plate mount and am very happy with it.

I made mine out of 1x2 aluminum rectangle tube cut with a jig saw and finished with a file. Works great!

I took a 3/8 in Alum plate, shaped a bit, bent an angle and mounted to the jack plate.

Did you start with a chunk of aluminum angle?
If you bent 3/8" flat stock - you must have had some heavy shop equipment to do so!

Used flat stock, no heavy shop equipment. Used a small butane torch to heat it some. Had it in a 6" vice. Just used a 2lb hammer and got all medieval on it.

Is that the correct facing direction of the transducer? I just mounted a total scan ducer on my transom and had the cord against the transom.

This is correct for the HB Mega transducer. Not sure about the Total Scan. Check your documentation. Side note, I have the same transducer on the TM facing the other direction. It fit better. There is an option it HB settings to reverse the image so the SI is displayed correctly.

This is what mine looks like as well, but I used a 2"x2" aluminum angle price I have had for various projects over the years, just cut a little wider than needed and drilled. No bending for me

This, not only does it fit your transducer, it is made to allow for the transom angle of your boat.

This is what I did. Bent a couple pieces of aluminum to a right angle, drilled some holes, and used stainless 1/4 by 20 bolts with stainless nylocks to put it together. I used some fuel line to make spacers for the through bolts that don't have a transducer on them. It's completely adjustable for angle, and if you wack something it will still kick up out of the way like it's supposed to.
