    First Trip to Eufala

I have never fished Eufala before and will be coming down the last week in March. I have been looking at websites and reading tournament reports. Is anyone willing to offer some help as to areas to fish and baits to use? What has water color been and temps? What stage bass are in? Best colors for soft plastics? Will be happy with any help I can get, coming down with no experience on the river.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Plenty of fish caught in cowikee creek. Water will most likely be muddy with all the rain.

Fished a tournament there 23 Feb. Water temps in low 60's, lower lake clearer (still stained) and was down about a foot. Fish are moving to/on beds. Keep track of the local weather and generation schedule.

They are staging up in the mouth of the creeks etc and some have come up. Have big stomachs on them so the time is coming. Going to get below freezing most of this week and that will probably slow things down. The south end usually turns on first. 32lbs won a tournament 2 weeks ago..
