    Cleaning Brackets

What do you guys use to clean your Talon/PP brackets and Jack Plates - Mine look stained and oxidized and want to get them lookin new. I tried to find the thread that had some good ideas and I couldn't find it. I remember reading oven cleaner? I know my hull cleaner doesn't seem to help much with the brackets and my Jack plate.

    Thanks in advance.

Power Pole brackets are powdercoated always look good.. talon brackets would be like a jackplate little Mother's and elbow grease. For the easy route I have heard CLR works good but havent tried it.

stained is one thing, oxidized is another...

Oxidation would happen bare or anodized aluminum like a Talon bracket.

A Powder Coated bracket wouldn't oxidize.

If its stained from like hard water try a cleaner that is safe for painted surfaces. Maybe like a CLR or Lime Away type cleaner.
