When I was bow hunting Caribou in Alaska we were fortunate to see some Wolves. I watched them through my Steiner binoculars and forgot about the Caribou for awhile, magnificent animal. Mother Nature gave everyone of her beings a part in her play, the wolf does his very well.

However, my travels in Ontario, have shown that the First Nation people hunt them, and without season, along with most other game.
Fishing in border areas, you'd see and hear wolves on the Minnesota side, and deer only in close proximity to humans. On the Canadian side, no wolves, and deer seemingly were much more common.
