Just got 5 inches of snow followed now by freezing rain. Just to get the boat out I have to find a way to melt several inches of hard ice from last week. Suppose to get warmer temps tomorrow into Saturday. Picked up 400 pound of salt which I hope will melt enough ice to be able to get the boat out of the barn. Problem is a downward slop and the doorway only is 6 inches wider than the boat.

Why post this in the Virgina forum?

Well planning on leave around 4am Saturday for Lake Anna. I would find being able to fish in temperatures above 35 with rain a blessing over this snow and ice. However this all depends on being able to get the boat out without taking out a wall.

Maybe in the summer, but not when its this cold. Fishing in cold rain and getting sick does not help the budget.

I was planning on hitting up the hot side this weekend with a guy that doesn't get to fish much. Should I tell him to suck it up?

I actually like fishing in the rain, but I was sick over Christmas and I am just now recovering. Can't push it yet.
