Any bass fishing around? Will be there in mid October, looking for some info on how to get a tug on a line. Not species loyal, anything can do. Seems like there might be some good trout fishing to be found at Tingley beach?

Short drive up to Cochiti on I25 going North. Maybe 45 minutes or so. Bass, Bluegills, Trout and Catfish in the lake.

You can also fish parts of the Rio Grande river, where there are bass and catfish. Check the NM game and fish site and they'll tell you the lakes/rivers that have been stocked and what is going on.

Two closest lakes are Cochiti, like apenland said 45 minutes north of town. Have actually done well there in the past. Another is Santa Rosa 1.5 hours east of town good lake also.

Blue water lake out of Grants for tiger muskies. Troy Lindner did show on the lake a few years ago.
