    Tray for Trolling Motor Pedal

Xpress H17, has anyone installed a foot pedal tray on this model? If so, after cutting the brace underneath the deck did you reinforce the deck?

My current trolling motor is a MK 70# Edge.

Any recommendations on a brand keeping in mind the MK pedal is fairly wide.

I used the Comfortroll on my X19 with a MK Max. Love it.

I put a Comforttroll in my 08 H56 and had to have a welding shop put some braces in afterwards. Floor in my boat had one large center brace that had to be cut completely to install tray.

I put the same tray in a 96 V50 and no support was needed. It had two smaller braces that had to be notched to fit the tray.

Great looking install! Are those self tapping screws or do they have nuts underneath the deck?

Also did your tray come with a template and what did you use to cut the deck?

The screws that camr with both my comforttrolls were not selfvtapping. They are just stainless metal screws and you have to drill a hole for them.

It did come with a template. My boat had a home made tray in it when I bought it. So I had a frame for this style made and welded in place. The screws are a titanium aircraft screw with anchors seated underneath. A friend of mine is a aircraft mechanic and certified welder so he helped me with it. Or I helped him. They use these screws and anchors on airplanes and they never come loose. I’ve put one of these is a glass boat also and had great success with it also.

Thanks to croix-man and others here I installed my pedal tray this afternoon.

Why did I wait for more than a year to do this?

    My back thanks you too.
