    Do-It swimbait head jig

Looking at getting the Do-It swimbait head jig (model 35273).

For the guys that have them, how do you like using them with keitech fat impact 3.3 and 3.8? I like the lead keel, but it looks like it might be a tight fit with a fat impact.

    Also considering the freestyling mold.

What about the shad head rig jig? I use that and I really like it but it only goes up to 7/16oz so if you need heavier you need to go a different route. https://www.barlowstackle.com/Do-It-...er--P3027.aspx

How does it track with the 30-degree eye?

It swims true and level and the head design cuts through the water really well. I like the fact that the swim baits will still have a little body roll in addition to the tail kick, some wider body jig heads often take that action away completely.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping to hear.

Thank you to the other folks who chimed in too.

I do not like the mold the OP is referencing. The lead keel on the bottom is a pain in the ass. Its hard to get some swim baits hooked up correctly. In fact, I usually grind the keel off. Then its not bad.

I think the one smalljaw suggested looks like it's from 1950... Plain jane. I'm anal about how my stuff looks. I'd never choose that one. But I'm sure the fish wont care.

I'll polish the mold and add some eyes after pouring. While it won't be as detailed and elaborate as others, it should hook some fish.

Unlike Mike, I'm not anal about how my baits look. I use the Do-It Bullet Nose jig mold and am very pleased with it.

.....It is a tight fit so you need to trim the bait some, or you can cut of the keel off. I think I get more wobble with less keel.

Yet to find a better jig head for <3.8 keitechs than a ball head. Get 100% of action out of it.

I think this one would be great just use a 3/0 hook instead of the the small one.

Just making sure I dont run out... I made my mold only fit these hooks. I might even let you try some.
