Thinking about going out there this weekend, I’ve never been and wondering how the bass fishing is going, also are there any caution areas I need to watch out for?

Water is low, no fish. They should fill it with sand and make a beach!

Wind is bad hard to fish the lake. But if you go fish the grass, bass are staging. Lot of shallow water area.
If you never been and wanting to go then you know how the bass are doing. This lake is not meant for. Bass boats to be flying around... Average depth of 2-3 feet and old duck blinds under the water

I’ve had some good days fishing the south side of the lake back in ‘17. I’m told it has changed a lot since.
Me and a buddy went fishing there in my x21b never been there before and we was told to launch off of hwy308 let’s just say that was one hell of an adventure. We was going after some crappie we fished all the finger canals once we got to them and caught some really nice fish would love to go back but definitely not the way we went that day. That was about two years ago. Why other ways is there to get into that place. I know once we got into the main lake it was still pretty shallow but we seen a few bass boats and stuff in the canals so I know there has to be a different way to get to them

This has been the best launch for me. One could also launch in Des Allemands.
Lake should be packed Saturday, I heard it’s the annual mud boat tourney.

yup, media teams is on the 10th. I believe the media singles is this sunday out of desallmends.
I'll just say if lake bouef makes it to the internet tournaments don't matter. It's already packed and not just the weekends. Everyday.
Damn...looks like I need to follow Chauvin around to catch some fish like that.
You’ll have to move to Texas these days. I’m now chasing 10 pounders on Fork. Chasing and not catching.
