Pretty good read in the new Bassmaster Mag

Bill Dance on the Tenn River. Talks about him fixing breakfast for like 32 tournament guys, and he just started because the cook wasn't there yet. So he started fixing for him and his buddy. Then they just kept coming in, and Bill said he kept on cooking.

They still have a magazine? Last, and final time I read one, was about 3 years ago. They are nothing but plugging sponsors, and selling you things.

That's what Magazines are for. How many rods and reels have you bought without reading something about them be it here or a magazine.

I have NO idea how/why but after 15 years of not having a subscription BassMaster Magagine started showing up at my house 2 months ago. I know I didn’t order it, the wife didn’t...weird but I enjoy looking through it!

Same here. There was another thread that talked about it about a month ago. Look on the cover around your name. Mine said compliments of Bass Pro Shops. Looks like JM is playing both sides???

Especially odd that almost every major add featured an EX Bass guy?

I have been reading it for over 40 years and will continue until I die. Also like Bass Times, probably a little better than Bassmaster. I find both very informative and read some of the articles several times. They had one by Clunn a few months ago that was excellent. Love Day on the Lake and have always liked Harry and Charlie. Some studies have shown that Bassmaster is the most thoroughly read magazine published and that it gets passed on to other readers. I give my old copies to a high school angler. Back when I was teaching, I gave them to our school library. As a kid growing up, I read Sports Afield, Field and Stream and Outdoor Life. Jason Lucas was my favorite writer. I read everything I could about fishing and dreamed of someday being able to do it as my dad didn't fish and we had no boat. He would take me and my twin bank fishing.

I'm the exact opposite...I have not read that section after I read one years ago. Not my thing I guess. I like the Day on the Lake feature the best
