    Replacing spike on talon

Anybody replace a talon spike on a 12’?
is it difficult? ASC is saying it is going to take 3-4 of labor and it’s going to take 2-3 weeks to get to it.

I always suggest contacting Jones Trolling Motors, he's an ASC. I have taken one apart, they have a lot going on. 3-4 hours seems about right for someone that knows what they are doing.

Unless something has radically changed replacing a Talon Spike is a 10-15 minute task. An ASC ought to be able to get one from mk in 3-4 days.

Does the spike need to be sent to an ASC? Looking at buying my brother's older talon but the spike split.

Not sure. Recommend you call MK customer service with the serial number....they’ll let you know if you have to go thru an ASC.
