Engine hours

I have a 2009 iclass, I haven’t pressed the mode button on the Yamaha gauge in a while, and I did this past weekend and noticed if you press it twice it shows hours 2 different times. One was lower than the other, can someone tell me the difference and are the hours accurate? What hours are being shown ( total? ), (since last service?) I usually just see it when I have service done. Thanks

I found my gauge to show less hours than when I wired from the motor to the Lowrance unit which showed down to the minute.
