    Props for ‘08 TR-20 X2

What props are people running for an ‘08 Triton TR-20 X2 with a Mercury 250 Pro-XS? Motor is completely rebuilt with about 10 hours. I’m running a 4 blade Fury 25P, and with 2 people, full tank of gas, and tackle, I’m only getting 67 mph...

Got an 07 21x2 same motor as you will run 74.1 with 25 tempest and 71.9 with 24 fury 4 both loaded very light. Loaded like you describe I can just bump 70 with either prop but hole shot is better with fury 4. That 25p fury may be too much prop for that heavy of a load you may want to try the 25 tempest or the 24 fury4. X2 hull was built for comfort and big water ride not so much speed like the X/hp hulls.

Thanks jtreed99. I’ve got a buddy that’s got a tempest 25 that I’m going to try out. It’s just hard to believe that an actual 20’ boat with a 250 has a hard time hitting 70 mph, but it does ride good!

Heavy boat but built like a tank. I had a 25 tempest on my 07’ and only way I could hit over 70 was if I was by myself. It was real sensitive about adding weight and gettin any speed. I loved that boat though.
