    3 helix 10 mega's 1 lakemasters chip?

I Just purchased a boat with 3 mega 10's. 2 on the console and one on the bow. The are all linked with the hummingbird box. If I have my lakemasters chip in the one on the console and put it in standby mode will i have the maps at the bow? Or am I better off adding a second chip?

Helix units will not share mapping at any time. You would need a Lakemaster map card in each unit that you want to view Lakemaster mapping.

Second best is use the included Humminbird Base Map that is the Lakemaster coverage for 2017, but none of the maps are HD.

I am very new to hummingbird. Is this map upload in the unit itself? How good is it?

Yes it is in the unit's memory and should be displayed by default without a map card in the unit. No location has HD contours.

Buying chart select maps for specific lakes may be more economical depending on your fishing habits.

Thanks this is good to know when I travel out of state to fish events. I did the math and the chip is cheaper for the places I fish. Thanks for the info.
