Z19 on order, anyone install a Bass Cat Step box?

Just ordered a 2019 Z19.
Would like to order a Bass Cat Carpeted Step Box. But, I don't know the measurements I need as in Width and Length. The box lists Large as: Large/ 17.5" Wide - exterior dimensions - 17.5" x 15.5" x 5" high for $135. I am guessing this is what I need? Anyone have one installed, or have the measurements between the seats? Also, notice they offer Custom boxes can be made for extra fees by calling them. I probably would check in to that, would rather have storage depth of 3 1/2" instead of 2 1/4".

I made one for my Z7 and it came out nice, but would be easier if I could a nice one made for a fair price.

I ordered one for my Z19 a few years ago, but I don't remember the size. You can specify what size you want. I made mine as wide as I could to fit between the seats. My only complaint was how I mounted it, I simply screwed it down on the lid covering the gas tank. It looked great, but when jumping around from the back deck to the front it wasn't very stable and had a tendency to open the lid (the lid I mounted the box to) if you stepped on the front part of the box.

KCLOST: Thanks for the reply. Looks good. I guess I have to get the measurements: from seat to seat width, and length I can go with. Don't have the boat, was hoping to get the step ordered while I wait for the boat. Guess I will have to drive an hour to measure one on the show room floor.

Yes, $415 for the Nitro. High priced...! and I can't even find a picture of it. Bass Cat's cost is not even half that price, and looks good for what I am looking for.

Thanks! Now I have finally seen it. But, I still prefer the Bass Cat version. Might take a trip this weekend and get some measurements I need to order the cat box.

So on the z20 the storage box is built into the hull.. Does the $415 get you this same thing on a z19?

I just texted my dealer and asked her to measure a boat, the one she measured was a Z21 so it may be different, but the dimensions of the carpeted step were 22" wide between the seats and 17" front to back

Thanks! Have better idea now. Thinking with the handles on the seat, I will need to measure it. That way I can get a big as possible box, but still be able to use the side handles.

So I went and measured a 2018 Z19 (should be the same as a 2019 model). My measurements were on the carpet step door to access the fuel tank: 22" wide in the front 23 1/2" in the rear and 14" length/deep. Since these seats have the grab handles on the side of the seats that are about 4" high measured from the step up , looks like 22"wide by 14" would be about right to have a good size box and still be able to use the grab handles. I plan on removing the step door, and mounting the box over the opening.

I put the Bass Cat one in my 898. Really like the storage and the step. Cup holders are pretty weak though.

I put a Bass Cat one in my 2018 Z20. I did not screw it down, I used industrial strength velco to hold it. Works great and I can easily remove it if I want to put in my center seat. If I were to order another one from Bass Cat I would ask to eliminate the useless cupholders, Lord knows the boat already has enough of those, and I would have it made an inch or two deeper.
