I picked up a few half at the BPS fishing classic sale last Friday.

1/4 oz yellow was good for smallys....

They are not high dollar baits. Why would they work as good?

Wordens Rooster Tails? Whats the secret? Been around for ages. I could catch fish on them all day long, but thats no challenge.

For the record the rooster tail is a fishing catching sucker. I’m actually surprised no one has broke it out in this thing yet. You can catch the fire out of those 12–13” fish with it.

I’ll wait for the $16.99 Megabass copy that comes in a fancy box.

CP Swings are cheaper and you don't have to worry what color to get.

Didn't Meps used to make those? Not sure but I think there is some in my Dad's old Tackle box I inherited. It wasn't opened for over 35 years. Lots of cool stuff in there.

Great bait in clear water for schooling fish. Cast like a rocket and you can really burn it... I was fishing a tournament and had a school of smallies going on a walking bait. I was fishing some rip rap on a dam wall and a bank fisherman was working his way to me chucking an all white one and when he got close enough to bomb it into the school I was on, he tied into probably the biggest non Erie bass I’d ever seen. I kept telling him to loosen his drag or it was going to break him off. About 8 jumps into the battle the fish swam off with hit rooster tail. I won’t even mention the ones he had on his chain stringer.. until then I thought they were only for white bass and creek fishing..

I used to buy these from my live bait guy for 50 cents each.
I was ( and the SM) were really attracted to the dark orange bodies and gold blades he used for river SM>

With hooks you need to change.

I have a small box full of them. They work on walleye just fine. Mepps are not outdated, either.

This is a good bait, improved hooks and tail, I change mine on the originals. The half oz. white is deadly for schooling fish, or searching for fish, I add a quality micro swivel to mine.
