    Tsunami Aerator Pump

I am replacing my inoperable aerator pump in my Champion 168. I was looking at the Tsunami pump & the installation instruction say to drill a 1 1/8" hole (this is the size of the existing hole) thru the transom 2" below the waterline. This seems a bit oversized to me considering the fitting is only 3/4". Am I missing something? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Agree. I just installed one as a replacement for different brand. It fit in existing hole so I didn't change a thing. Honestly, never read instructions since it fit. I don't think I could go bigger than 1/8" necessary

I think the pumps are available with a couple of different size through hull fittings. Use the same size as the existing hole.
