    RT188 Deck Step

I don’t know why Ranger did not do this since there is limited storage on the RT188. I got the idea from others, but added a locking latch for $20. See pics..

Is ranger offering the step with a lid for storage on the 2019 models? I have the step option
on my 2018, but you could not open it and used for storage.

I have the TX18 Triton with the same step. If the step was centered with the rod locker the corner of the lid would catch on the console when opening. I hinged mine on the starboard side instead. I store my dock bumpers in it.

It’s a 2018. The step came installed from the factory, but it not centered. It is a little more to the left. You have to look close to notice it. It comes close to the console, but does not hit or rub when I open it.

I can't even get a step for 2014. At least that is what my dealer told me last week.

You can make a pretty good step for the front yourself. I like the one I made because it has a floor bottom and not the carpet on the floor of the boat. It is waterproof and can be moved u der the console out of the way. I am sure better ones could be made. My point is that you don't have to buy one. Took me about a half day.

I added one to my 2015 and I see no reason it wouldn't fit your 2014. They are pretty simple. brace (974 x 1732).jpg

Your dealer is full of it. I bought one from a different dealer than I bought my boat from. My dealer wanted $180.00 and the dealer I bought it from was about half that. It just screws to the floor with sheet metal screws.
