    Winter project

    I’m on the water a bunch for 9 months a year so I get a little bored not running around after running out of honey do’s in my 3 month down time .. my best friend since high school owns an architectural sheet metal shop and is always hooking me up with copper so I figured I would make him a little something for his office .. company initials are MAS Incase people wonder what that means in the middle lol

    Pretty cool... You use that bar top coating ? How did you punch out the stars ?

    Stars where brushed back to bright copper with a dremel and Brasso to remove the natural patina that it got over the years .. I had to make a stencil out of a sheet of sticker making material that wasn’t to sticky that it would remove the patina .. cut all the stars out with an exacto knife .. wasted plenty of time trying to come up with a better way lol

    2 coats of crystal clear table top epoxy .. that drive me insane also.. flag isn’t exactly flat

    Then of course I couldn’t bend the metal at his shop or he would have seen it.. so I made a sheet metal brake one day lol

    My wife makes some that are very similar. She uses a dremel to carve out the stars.
