Wanting to install retractible rod buckles in my boat,
any other 482 owners cut the holes needed with success/ clearance behide?
no tubes/ wires behide there in our boats?

I did it on my 488 several years ago and on the drivers side after digging out the foam I hit the
plastic conduit for the wiring up front. I just cut a notch in it and it worked great. Good luck

Believe on my old 481 the TM power cables or something were on the starboard side in a tube running up front. Memory serves me right I found them the hard way. So be very careful when you start in on how deep u go.

Probably be safer to install the retractable buckles that install under the deck.

Installed mine on a 492VS this weekend. Foam was all I ran into.
