Been there since 7th grade...and there are a lot of folks who have it but refuse to address it. Make fun if you want, but chances are you will be there, too.
Played drums in rock bands as a teenager thru twenties, then worked as an industrial electrician on a jet base so now can't hear chit.
You more than likely need an eye test.
Im the same way my girlfriend tells me all the time I think you should have your hearing tested.
Do it. You have no idea what you're missing. Hearing aids have come a long way, and I know all about them.
I'm there and have been for years. I think my problem is mostly Tinnitus thought. I can stand next to an idling piece of heavy equipment and still hear the crickets and tree frogs singing in my ears. I did the hear aids but I truly don't think they did any good, still had to ask the wife and daughters to repeat themselves... I know it's frustrating for them but they'll say something and it's just like the cartoon... Dan

Got hearing aids about two years ago. When I could see birds open their beak and not hear the chirp I knew something was needed.
