Strader seems to tear it up with the Sloan's. Never been a fan of the big brands like SK for anything. Have done well like others with War Eagle. Don't fish them much anymore, use chatterbaits and squarebills instead.

Big Mouth Lures was a popular local brand in this area.

I’m also curious as to why people don’t like strike king. I don’t throw spinnerbaits a ton, but when I do, they’re usually strike kings.

1/2oz Zorro short arm. Often I downsize the Colorado blade to a #4.

I guess everything else is my least favorite...

I really like a lot of the SK spinnerbaits. I usually change the blades on almost every spinnerbait I buy because I prefer a larger Indiana or Colorado blade but they make a good base to start and have good skirts.

Worst? I got a Big Dawg because I really liked the way it looked online but the first cast caught a 3.5 pounder and you’d swear I caught an 8lb mudfish on it because it bent in 5 places. I love their soft baits but won’t buy any of their spinnerbaits again.

What I just read is that you caught a 3.5 pounder on every cast you made with that lure. Hmmmm. :)

I buy some handmade ones off of Ebay. Better made than most of the packaged ones.

The Sloan’s are good and I will take them if I can get them but I’ve used Stanley,SK and Terminator and two or three other brands and been successful.

Best: Terminator T1 cause I've only broken 2 ever and that was after many trips. I lose them much faster than I break them. (2nd favorite War Eagle because I've never had a problem when using them)

Worst: Terminator Super Stainless. $7 and didn't even make it through one trip. Broke right at the 'R' bend.
    Tight Lines,
    Andrew
