My favorite of all time was the Stanley Vibra-shaft. 2nd favorite was the one made by a friend who owned Ohio Pro Lure. Third = War Eagle.

That is one improvement I wish WE would make, their hooks are a tad small. Otherwise a perfect spinnerbait IMO.

Favorites: War Eagle #1, Terminator Titanium #2, Eco Pro Tungsten Rapid Fire for a compact spinner

Worst: Booyah. The skirts fell apart within 3 months just opening the package...never fished them. Components seem like junk.

I know right, lure has a 100% success rate and I’m bitching about it! We got to the boat ramp and I saw that I never threw it that day so I made one cast to the hole that’s at every boat ramp and caught a really nice fish. The bait was just so bent everywhere I was shocked! It’s a very different spinnerbait than I usually throw, and apparently works, but I was mad.

Yesterday I threw a SK in sexy shad with a #4 Colorado and caught 4 or 5 on it in the thickest cover anywhere and it did really well and caught the biggest fish of the day (24”)D408FE20-AD42-4348-9478-D6E7E86FF535.jpeg

I don't throw spinnerbaits nearly as much as I used to. I always liked the War Eagles, but had a lot of problems with them breaking, especially after a smallmouth gets hold of them. I also wasn't ever really happy with their color selection that seems largely centered on stuff that's white or at least very light colored.

I've gone now to using board sponsor ACT Lures spinnerbaits just about exclusively - Paul makes them in whatever color combo you could want, and they have piano wire frames which give the same flex and vibration you get with War Eagles without the durability concerns. His are honestly the only ones I've come across aside from the cable-frame kind or titanium wire ones that have that amount of flex in the wire that also seem to hold up very well. I'm a big fan.

Best: War Eagle 5/16 oz finesse spinnerbaits and 3/8 oz Tru-Trac Ultralite spinnerbaits...the Tru-Trac have a thinner wire and give off a good amount of vibration, plus they allow you to customize with different blade types and sizes. I have had great success with the coppernose bluegill color.

Worst: Don't really have any that I've hated.

    Favorite:
Booyah. Cheap, durable, great skirts and painted head designs, hooks, and components, and great selection of colors and designs.
They catch fish, they hold up well, and I fish spinnerbaits a great deal.
Hart makes a good Spinnerbait too.
    Least favorites:
Any of them that are expensive (over $5.00-8.00). It’s a Spinnerbait.
None of them are magical enough to cost much more than that.

I have been throwing the Ohio Pro Lure for more years than I can remember. The interchangeable blade system is great
