Post count padding increases the number below your name referring to the post count. Seems the higher the post count, the more respect and credibility you have on the ol' BBC.

Yes we all need to do our part to build "Post Count Prosperity" and develop "Prospective Multi Faceted Post Count Production Specialists" that don't just rely on a "Rant of the Day" as their contribution even though it's kind of fun to rattle their their cages just to hear them growl and see them lunge at the bars.

There are a lot of good set up Posters on the BBC who can start a thread that spawns pages of humor that feeds off of the original and inspires others to share their gifts. However when reading these you need to strictly enforce the "No Sip Rule" or you'll be getting a free screen cleaning.
