    Buying a 225 Pro XS

And looking at purchasing a 2017 Mercury 225 Pro XS with a torque master lower unit (2B525079) anything I should be looking for? Engine wise you'd think that after all these years they would have all the bugs worked out of them.
Also is it advisable to install a pre fuel filter?
Like a Racor 10 micron 1000 GPH water seperating filter.
    Thanks in advance

No external fuel filter is required, or recommended by Mercury.

Good engines- as with anything used, be sure to have it checked out FIRST.

Read up in the FAQ section- lots of useful info there.

And definitely no extra filters (engine is already equipped with proper level of filtration).
