not sure if its been asked before did not see it if it has

Can anyone tell me the difference between a evenrude g2 150 verse a evenrude g2 HO 150 motor there customer service cant answer that question ??? how is the customer service from evenrude any help would be great .

The biggest difference is in the software tuning of the powerband. The HO generates horsepower near the upper 10% (165) horsepower tolerance limit and the recreational 150 is closer to an actual 150 HP

What I can tell you is if you are thinking repower, do it. The 150 HO G2 is a beast.

the difference is $1500 so the H.O would be worth the extra $$$ ???
