I use spinning when throwing lighter flat sided cranks, such as LC KJ Flats, Rapala Shad Raps. Pflueger Patriarch XT's in the 5.2 ratio (2017 models)

If money no object, I doubt anything better than the Winch.

If money is an object, the Revo x Wide is a very good $100 reel.

I crank some with a BB2. Think Lew's has discontinued, but good crank reel if you like 6:1 ratio.

Old School Daiwa TD-Z 100M/ML is a sleeper crankbait reel with it's 5.7 ratio... pulls 24"(actually a bit less in my testing) of line which is a nice ratio - not super low like you would want for deep cranking, but a good speed for most any other cranking ie mid cranks, squarebills, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. Pick up a used one for $100 or so, clean it up maybe add some bearings if needed, and you'll have a nice lightweight premium reel that will hang with anything out there.
